Dadi ABCmouse Elementary Course Description






The ABCmouse Elementary Course curriculum objectives seamlessly align with the primary school English curriculum, focusing on the comprehensive development of English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Simultaneously, it emphasizes the cultivation of children's fluent oral communication, clear English thinking, and strong test-taking abilities. The curriculum system is comprehensive and extendable, spanning from 6 years old to 12 years old, allowing children to engage in continuous learning for up to 9 years (including 3 years of kindergarten).




(I) ABCmouse Elementary Student Class Curriculum Framework

It is divided into 3 stages:

Primary: Primary A, Primary B (2 levels)

Intermediate: Intermediate A, Intermediate B, Intermediate C, Intermediate D, Intermediate E, Intermediate F (6 levels)

Advanced: Advanced A, Advanced B, Advanced C, Advanced D, Advanced E, Advanced F (6 levels)

Note 1: Children with a foundation have 12 levels (Intermediate to Advanced).

Note 2: Children starting from scratch have 14 levels (Primary to Advanced).




(II) ABCmouse Elementary Course Level Division and Learning Objectives

-- Primary Stage (Primary A - Primary B):

(1) Acquire authentic American English pronunciation, phonetics, and intonation, while developing the habit of "listening carefully and repeating."

(2) Accumulate recognition of 1500 basic vocabulary words and the usage of 250 common sentence patterns.

(3) Easily transition from letter writing to word formation.

(4) Integrate daily oral communication topics to foster fluent spoken communication skills.

Note: Suitable for children with no prior ABCmouse learning experience or those starting from scratch.

 

-- Intermediate Stage (Intermediate A - Intermediate F):

(1) Building on the foundation of primary content, focus on common words, and further integrate comprehensive learning in writing, grammar, speaking, and reading.

(2) Accumulate a vocabulary of 3600 words for spelling and dictation and use 600 sentence patterns in oral communication.

(3) Read and recite articles of up to 100 words fluently.

Note 1: Suitable for children who have completed three years of ABCmouse learning in kindergarten.

Note 2: Completion of the intermediate stage exceeds the level of a sixth-grade elementary school student.

 

-- Advanced Stage (Advanced A - Advanced F):

1. Accumulate a vocabulary of 5000 words for spelling and dictation.

2. Use 1000 sentence patterns in oral communication.

3. Read and recite articles of up to 200 words fluently.

4. Independently write short essays in English using 150 words.
